Calcutta, Dec. 7: Capgemini India, part of Paris-based Capgemini Group, is planning to double its headcount in three years.
The company has recently crossed the 40,000-mark in terms of staff count.
Speaking on the sidelines of Infocom 2012, an ICT event organised by Businessworld, an ABP group publication, Aruna Jayanthi, chief executive officer of Capgemini India, said, “Overall in India, we will grow quite rapidly in the next three years. We are planning to nearly double our staff strength over the next three years from 40,000 currently. In Calcutta we have a little over 2,000. Growth will be there and will be proportionately distributed.”
The company offers consulting, technology and outsourcing services across energy, utilities, financial services, manufacturing and retail sectors.
“We are interested in the government sector, too, but have not yet gone after mega projects. It will depend on our willingness at any point of time. We are in utilities, retail and manufacturing,” she said.
