Elangbam lifters bag gold medals

Imphal, Dec. 2: L. Chinglenmani of Utlou SAI won the gold, lifting 290kg in the 53-kg category of the 3rd Manipur open powerlifting championship at Chingmeirong community hall in Imphal today.

W. Chingkhei of Elangbam Leikai Body Building Centre won the silver and O. Saratchandra of the same centre won the bronze. In the 59kg category M. Keshorjit of Utlou SAI won the gold, lifting 300kg. M. Mikel and M. Rabindra of the same team won the silver and bronze.

In the 66kg category, N. Ramananda of Elangbam won the gold. G. Chittaranjan of Utlou SAI and Th. Rohesh of Elangbam won the silver and bronze. In the 69kg category, W. Sony of Elangbam won the gold while Tej Narayan of Eastern Iron Gym won the silver. Only two competed in this category.

In the womenís 48kg category, S. Divika of Elangbam won the gold. M. Tampha Purnima of Kakching Body Building Centre won the silver and W. Sapana of Utlou won the bronze. In womenís 57kg category N. Kunajarani of Elangbam won the gold. M. Tampha of Kakching Boby Building Centre won the silver and S. Anita of Unique Gym won the bronze.

In womenís 63kg category, H. Anandi of Elangbam won the gold while her teammate L. Saishree (of Elangbam) won the silver. In the womenís 84kg category, K. Roshida of Elangbam won the gold while N. Babysana of Utlou Sai won the silver.
