Shillong, Dec. 2: East Khasi Hills District Cricket Association lifted the Meghalaya Cricket Association’s under-25 Inter-District Cricket Tournament trophy, defeating Shillong Cricket Association by six runs in the final at Polo Grounds here yesterday.
Put to bat first, East Khasi Hills scored 137 runs losing seven wickets in the stipulated 35 overs. In reply, Shillong were restricted to 131 for eight in 35 overs.
Banpynshngain Dolloi top-scored with 32 runs for East Khasi Hills, while Andrew Thabah and Tarique Sidique of Shillong took two wickets each.
