Margao: After beating the fancied McDowell Mohun Bagan 3-0 in their last match, Dempo SC will be looking to maintain their winning momentum when they face Salgaocar in an I-League match here on Friday.
Dempo coach Armando Colaco was all praise for young Godwin Franco. In the absence of playmaker Climax Lawrence — he served a two-match suspension on disciplinary grounds — the midfielder played brilliantly against Bagan to earn the Man of the Match award.
Speaking about the match, Armando said: “It was the best performance by the team… I had faith in my boys and they didn’t disappoint me.
“I hope that they will keep the momentum going tomorrow. Salgaocar are going through a lean patch and will try to come hard at us. So we have to be careful.
