City Cricket sail past Guwahati Coaching

Guwahati, Nov. 30: City Cricket Coaching Centre (CCCC) today handed an eight-wicket defeat to Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre (GCCC) in their league match of the under-17 inter-cricket academy cricket tournament, organised by Noonmati Cricket Academy, at Judges Field here.

GCCC elected to bat and were restricted to a paltry total of 61 for seven in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, CCCC scored 65 for two in 13.5 overs.

Erik Roy topscored for GCCC with 19 runs while 16 came from the bat of Prakash Jha.Mustaque Ahmed of CCCC returned with 11 runs.

For CCCC, Santa Kishore Das scored 33 and Tanuj Kalita remained unbeaten on 10.

Riyan Parag and Jintu Kalita of GCCC picked up a wicket each, conceding four and nine runs respectively.

Earlier, Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy were awarded a walkover as opponents Delhi Public School did not report for the match in time for the morning fixture.
