Sentinel play DY365 in final

Guwahati, Nov. 26: The Sentinel will lock horns with DY365 in the final of the Harendranath Baruah inter-media football tournament of the 4th North East Media Sports Festival, organised by the Assam Sports Journalists Association, at Sports Authority of India’s Newfield complex here tomorrow.

In the semi-finals, The Sentinel blanked out Janasadharan 6-0 and DY365 tamed Seven Sisters Post 6-0. The third and the fourth quarter-finals were keen contests where DY 365 clinched a 5-3 win against last year’s runners-up Assam Photo Journalists Association via tie-breaker after a goalless regulation time. Seven Sisters Post came back from a first-half goal down to equalise in the dying minutes of regulation time against Prime News. In the penalty shootout, the goalkeeper of Seven Sisters Post, Partha Baruah, put up a brilliant show of agility to fashion the 5-3 victory.
