Chennai: Grandmaster SP Sethuraman defeated M. Kunal and moved into a 3-way lead with 5.0 points after the fifth round of the Commonwealth Chess Championships here on Sunday.
Sharing the lead with Sethuraman were Grandmaster duo of Oleksienko Mikhailo (Ukraine) and M R Lalith Babu (India).
In the morning session, Sethuraman overcame WGM Nisha Mohota in an interesting game arising from Ruy Lopez opening. (PTI)
