New Delhi, Nov. 25: Delhi police today seized the weapon from which Sukhdev Singh Namdhari allegedly fired the shot that killed Hardeep, brother of the liquor baron Ponty Chadha, in the Chattarpur farmhouse shootout.
“We recovered the Indian-make pistol from his Bajpur residence on Sunday morning. The weapon was used by him in the shootout that killed Hardeep,” said a senior official.
Accompanied by Namdhari, named the prime conspirator, a Delhi police team searched his residence in Uttarakhand’s Uddham Singh Nagar district and recovered the weapon. Namdhari was sent to five days’ police custody yesterday.
