Cop injured
An assistant sub-inspector of Narkeldanga police station was injured during a raid on Canal East Road on Wednesday. The cops were looking for a criminal when some unidentified men hurled bombs at them.
Metro snag
Metro rail services were disrupted for around 30 minutes on Wednesday after a Kavi Subhas-bound AC train got stranded at Netaji station following a snag in the brakes at 8.24pm. Services resumed at 8.55pm.
Man held
Niraj Kumar Yadav, 28, was arrested on Wednesday in Shyamnagar for allegedly harassing a 22-year-old girl by hacking her Facebook profile. Yadav was booked under Section 66 of the IT act. |
