Annual fete
Cambridge International School, Guwahati, affiliated to the University of Cambridge International Examinations in the UK, staged its annual fete, HOPE 2012, on November 17 and 18.
Seminar
A two-day Asom Vidya National Conference and Seminar was held under the aegis of North East India Network for Academic Discourse and Hindi department of Gauhati University on the university campus on Saturday.
Alumni meeting
A meeting of the Association of Former Students Sonaram High School was held in the city on November 16. Besides other issues, the meeting discussed holding a conference of former students of the school in 2013.
Philosophy Day
World Philosophy Day was observed in the department of philosophy at Handique Girls’ College on November 17. The annual wall magazine, Vision, was also launched the same day.
Founder’s Day
Assam Valley School celebrated its 17th Founder’s Day on its campus at Balipara in Sonitpur district from November 8 to 10. Various colourful events were organised and a huge number of students took part in the celebrations.
