She has dressed the likes of Humaima Malick, the Pakistani actress in Bol, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Oscar-winning director (for Saving Face in the ‘Documentary Short’ category, with Daniel Junge, in 2012). Sania Maskatiya launched her own line in 2010, three years after starting out as a designer. Her label is all about fashion that turns heads and yet is high on comfort. Mumbai had seen Sania in 2010. And now, it is Calcutta’s turn!

Nida Azwer

She loves working with all things handwoven — be it linen, chiffon, silk or brocade. She also nurtures a love for Bengal crafts, having worked with Jamdani and kantha in her collections. Blending heritage with modern silhouettes is her style. Nida Azwer also designs for kids and has menswear on the anvil.
