Two more dates for the GRE general test have been announced to meet the rush of students fast filling up the available dates this season.
The new dates are November 25 (Sunday) and December 15 (Saturday) in Calcutta and other computer-based test centres in India, such as Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
The GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) are usually held from Monday to Friday but an exception has been made this year. The test, an admission requirement for many graduate schools in the US and some in other countries, can be taken at around 700 centres in more than 160 countries.
The computer-based test is available on a continuous basis throughout the year but, according to Educational Testing Service, which conducts the test globally, November-December is the time when maximum students appear for it.
