7 houses gutted
Dhubri, Nov. 18: Seven houses and an office of a mobile service provider were gutted in two different fires that broke out in the Fakirganj area of Dhubri district today. Fire tenders from Hatsighimari reached the spot after three hours.
Rebel ill
Aizawl: Detained Hmar People Convention -Democratic (HPC-D) “commander-in-chief” Lalropuia, currently lodged at Aizawl Central Jail, has been hospitalised with serious health complications on Sunday. He was diabetic and suffering from tuberculosis.
Thieves held
Nagaon: Police arrested three thieves from Samaguri in Nagaon district on Sunday.
Trade fair
Guwahati: Leo Advertising will conduct a trade fair in Dibrugarh from November 30 to December 12. The expo will feature stalls from different parts of the country.
