Fairyland defeat South Point

Guwahati, Nov. 12: Fairyland High School today inflicted a 52-run defeat on South Point School in a group league match of the ongoing 3rd Sitaram Agarwala inter-school under-17 cricket tournament, organised by Bud Cricket Club at Judges Field here. Put to bat, Fairyland piled up 216, losing eight wickets and South Point boys were all out for 164 in 35.3 overs.

Pinku Choudhury (48, 4x6) was the topscorer for Fairyland while Atul Kumar Singh contributed a useful knock of (45, 4x7). Kaushal Panit and Apurba Kalita also chipped in with 25 (4x3) and 20 (4x2) respectively. Gaurav Deb Choudhury of South Point dismissed two for 36 runs. For South Point, Saahil Jain topscored with 41 hammering seven hits to the ropes while Shahbaaz Hussain (28, 4x6) and Antariksh Sarma (20, 4x2) were the other notable scorers.

Atul Kumar Singh and Kouser Ali of Fairyland shared three wickets each, giving away 30 and 32 runs respectively. Apurba Kalita also picked up two for 21.
