Burdwan: Burdwan University on Thursday did not promote associate professor Arindam Chattopadhyay, a day after former Rabindra Bharati vice-chancellor Pabitra Sarkar accused him of plagiarism.

New Delhi: Union minister Jairam Ramesh on Saturday said Mamata Banerjee was a “delightful person” and he was “extraordinarily fond” of her, the comments in reference to the chief minister’s handling of the Maoist menace coming days after he appeared to needle her in two letters.
