Ranchi, Nov. 1: Rural works minister Chandra Prakash Choudhary today asked his department’s engineer-in-chief Yadunandan Choudhary to explain, within 24 hours, why the ground work for construction of state-aided rural roads was yet to begin.
He also sought detailed rep orts on reasons for delay in disposal of tender papers and individual officials responsible.
On October 5, the minister had served a similar notice on the engineer-in-chief and asked him to clarify his stand within three days. He had also ordered disposal of all tender papers by October 10.
The minister is yet to get a reply, even as he gears up to review the current status of different state funded and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana schemes.
