Kokrajhar, Oct. 31: Food Corporation of India (FCI), Guwahati, defeated Dotma Anchalik Sports Association, Dotma, 4-2 via tie-breaker to move to the next round of the 15th Daoharu Mungkhlong Football Trophy being played at Dotma Sports Association ground in Kokrajhar.
The match was drawn 1-1 during the stipulated time, but FCI got the better of Dotma in the tie-breaker.
ASEB, Guwahati, will play Boka Junior Sports Academy, Tura, on November 2.
JSB Gold Cup: Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB), Guwahati, defeated Udalguri Sports Club 5-0 in the inaugural match of the 11th Jwhwlao Swmbla Basumatary Memorial Gold Cup Football Trophy, which began today at Bangaldoba in Chirang.
In a one-sided match, the ASEB dominated from the start and scored five goals — three goals in the first half and two more in the second half.
Nitu Narzary, Mendala Rongmai, Kirod Das, Sagar Gurung and Tridip Hazarika scored the goals in the 11, 28, 71, 72 and 89 minutes respectively.
