Rowing squad named
Guwahati, Oct. 26: Assam Boat Racing and Rowing Association named a six-member squad for the 33rd Junior National Rowing Championship to be held at Jagatpur, Odisha from November 4 to 11.
The team: (boys): Nixon J. Brahma and Manab Jyoti Dutta; (girls): Banani Das, Nafisa Sadiq, Shreyanshi Kashyap and Anangcha Das. Dipak Teron and Dhiraj Kashap will be the coaches.
Volleyball: The Assam Volleyball Association, in its working committee meeting held recently, announced the itinerary of the inter-district tournaments this season. The sub-junior meet will be held at Silapathar in Dhemaji from November 7 to 9, junior inter-district championship at Tezpur from December 7 to 9 and the senior-district meet at Bokolia in Karbi Anglong from December 27 to 29.
