Govinda was in town on Thursday to unveil a range of phones and tablets by Prayag Group, as the company announced its foray into the telecom industry. t2 caught up with him for a this-and-that chat.

On lending his voice to Delhi Safari, a 3D animation film that released on Friday:When I was dubbing, the animation wasn’t ready. When I saw it, there was some difference between what I was told and what I saw. I did not see any part apart from mine.

On daughter Narmmadaa and son Yashvardhan’s Bolly debut:If your blessings are with me, then they will be a part of the productions I am starting soon.

On Narmmadaa changing the spelling of her name:Yes, she did change the spelling. These are all powers and they work at their level. I believe we should pay attention to everything and should not disrespect Shakti. I will not call it superstition but I do believe in astrology. I do my important work after checking the ‘good’ dates.

A young actor with great potential: Ranbir (Kapoor) is good. I feel there are many more youngsters who are really good. In our times, it wasn’t so difficult. Now they have to be body builders... compete on an international level. Getting there is very difficult.

A young actress with great potential: They are all very good. Agar aisi koi hogi (if there is one such) then you will see them in a film with me!

His three best dance numbers: People say I dance well but I don’t dance, it is just about my feel. My picks would be Makhna mere pyaar ka ras zara chakhna and Kabhi disco mein jaaye (both from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan), and Main aaya tere liye (Ilzaam).

Weirdest experience with a fan: One day, a group of priests came to my house. They told me that they had been praying for me and my well-being. I was shocked and happy that people love me so much!

His favourite restaurant in Calcutta:(Laughs) Main free mein publicity nahin karta.

Living in his Kalikapur house when in Calcutta:I keep coming here. When I come for functions and events, I stay in hotels. Otherwise, I stay at home.

Wants to return to politics: Never!

Releasing Deewana Main Deewana (starring Govinda, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra and Priyanka Chopra): I don’t know. For the past 10 years, everybody has been asking me the same question (smiles).

His other projects:I am busy with my film Avatar, directed by Pahlaj Nihalani, which is releasing in February.
