Imphal, Oct. 18: Ch. Bunty Devi moved into the semi-final of the 2nd CYLC State-Level Open Tennis Championship at Singjamei deco turf in Imphal West today.

In the under-16 girls’ quarter-final matches, Bunty Devi defeated O. Monika Devi 6-0 while in another match, Linthoi Devi beat Vedamani Devi by 6-1 goals.

In the men’s singles event, Rk. Pritam Singh moved into the quarter-final, beating M. Pradip Singh.

N. Premjit Singh and N. Kangjamba Singh also made it into the quarter-final of the meet.

Thoihenba Singh entered the quarter-final after his opponent Leelenjee Singh retired from the game.

Climbing meet: The North East Zonal Sports Climbing Committee will hold the 14th NE Zonal Sports Climbing Competition at the MMTA Complex at Minuthong from October 21-23.

Sepak takraw: SAI NERC claimed the champion’s title of the girl’s regu event, beating SAI NRC Sonepat by 3-0 sets in the SAI All India Inter Regional Sepak Takraw Tournament 2012 held at SAI indoor hall at Takyelpat.
