India-Yemen tie in Guwahati

Guwahati, Oct. 18: The Sarusajai stadium is scheduled to be the venue for the India-Yemen football friendly on November 14, a year after the city hosted the tie against Malaysia. A team from All India Football Federation will inspect the ground before the final clearance is given.

“Our first priority is to prepare the ground and make it match ready. We have a lot of work like removal of weeds and watering the turf. A team from AIFF will visit the city after Puja and inspect the ground,” Assam Football Association secretary Ankur Dutta told The Telegraph.

The match, if things go as according to plan, will be played under floodlights.
