Puja Festivity, in association with t2, at City Centre New Town saw a huge turnout on the final day, also the last Sunday before Puja.

The New Town mall came alive with Purulia’s signature Chhau dance, followed by a performance by singer Pratik Choudhury.

The crowd took a break from shopping to gather around the main “spine” area and watch the Chhau rendition of Mahishasuramardini.

Later, Pratik belted out Bollywood hits as well as his own songs, like Dure bohu dure and Tumi chaichho bole, with the audience clapping along.

“I was a little apprehensive about singing in a shopping centre because till now I had just been to malls for buying stuff! This was the last Sunday before Puja but people still stopped by to enjoy the music. It was great fun!” smiled Pratik.
