Nagaon, Oct. 11: Royal Wahingdoh, Shillong, entered the semi-final of the 64th ID Cup football tournament, defeating Nagaland Police 2-1 in the third quarter-final at Nowgong Sports Association’s Nurul Amin Stadium here today.
The Shillong team striker C. Lalnunpuia scored the first goal of the match in the 41st minute.
Midfielder Kerionane Pyngrope scored the second goal for the Shillong team in the 45th minute. Nagaland Police striker Saku scored the only goal for the rival team.
Hosts Redial club will meet Assam Rifles in the last quarter-final tomorrow.
