Keirao Bitra triumph

Imphal, Oct. 10: Keirao Bitra Block started on a winning note, beating Sawombung Block by 3-0 sets in the volleyball event of the District-Level Womenís Sports Competition under PYKKA Scheme for Imphal East at Khuman Lampak indoor stadium.

Altogether one hundred players are taking part in the competition which will have basketball, gymnastic and swimming events in Group I, handball, hockey and tennis in Group II, athletics, badminton and table tennis in Group III and kho kho, kabaddi and volleyball in Group IV of the meet.

Jiribam Block is the third team competing in the all women competition.

The winners from the events will be selected to compete in the State-Level Womenís Sports Competition, which will begin on October 13 in the Khuman Lampak sports complex.
