Kejriwal targets Khurshid

New Delhi, Oct. 10: Arvind Kejriwal today announced a gherao of Sonia Gandhi’s home on Friday to demand law minister Salman Khurshid’s resignation and his wife Louise’s arrest over alleged irregularities in an NGO run by the couple.

A Hindi channel had yesterday alleged forgery to siphon off government funds at the Uttar Pradesh-based Dr. Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust, which works for the differently abled.

Louise, the NGO’s project director, has termed the report “false, malicious and baseless”.

Kejriwal, an activist turned politician, said differently abled people would join Friday’s protest and urged chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to get Louise arrested, saying “she may tamper with the evidence”.

Louise dismissed the “wild allegations” saying the channel interviewed barely a couple of beneficiaries and claimed she herself had sought a state inquiry into the forgery allegations.
