Injured Dwayne ruled out

Calcutta: Sri Lanka’s pace bowler Nuwan Kulasakera and left-arm spinner Shadab Jakati will replace the injured West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and batsman Anirudh Srikkanth in Chennai Super Kings squad for Champions League T20, which got underway on Tuesday. The CLT20 Technical Committee has approved the changes on Tuesday.

While Bravo is suffering from a thigh strain, Srikkanth has been ruled out for six weeks following a fracture to his right clavicle. He suffered the injury during a domestic match last week.

The committee has also approved changes by Sri Lanka’s UVA Next and England’s Yorkshire squads.

For UVA Next, former Sri Lankan under-19 captain Ashan Priyanjana will replace left-handed batsman Upul Tharanga, who was ruled out due to a broken finger.

England international Johnny Bairstow, who suffered a wrist injury, will be replaced by Ed Wilson, an 18-year old wicket-keeper batsman, in the Yorkshire squad.
