Burdwan, Oct. 9: The body of a computer science student was found beside the railway tracks near Burdwan’s Khana last night.
Sudip Mahato, who studied in the Bengal Institute of Technology in Katwa, was returning from Durgapur after Puja shopping when he had an argument with two women who had stacked up coal sacks near the door of a train compartment, police said.
Sudip’s brother has alleged that coal smugglers had murdered the 20-year-old youth.
