Siddiqui blasts officer

Patna: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, on Monday alleged that Jamui agriculture officer Manoj Kumar has issued advertisement in newspapers praising the JD(U) and chief minister Nitish Kumar.

Siddiqui claimed it is violation of the service code. But the officer denied the charges.

PMC strike

Patna: Chandra Prakash Singh, president, Patna Municipal Corporation Staff Union, after a meeting with PMC commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pal on Monday, confirmed that the three- day strike staring from Tuesday would take place as announced earlier. “Though the commissioner agreed to most of our demands we cannot take back the strike without the intervention of urban development minister Prem Kumar,” he said.
