A 59-year-old South City resident jumped to his death from the roof of the 35-storeyed Tower II on Sunday night.
Dhananjay Pathak landed on a Honda City parked near the building entrance around 8.30pm, said DC (south suburban division) Sujoy Chanda.
“Pathak left a note where he wrote no one was responsible for his death,” said an officer of Jadavpur police station.
Pathak’s family members told the police that he was suffering from depression, added the officer.
According to residents, Pathak hosted a recreational programme for senior citizens for over two hours on Sunday evening. He was the head of the senior citizens’ support committee in the residential complex.
