Shillong, Oct. 6: Senior Meghalaya-based journalist Prasad Gupta, 55, passed away in Guwahati on Saturday following cardiac arrest.
He is survived by his wife and three sons.
Fondly known as “Kaku”, Gupta had endeared himself to all with his honest and straightforward approach. He was the treasurer of Shillong Press Club and co-founded the All Meghalaya Journalists’ Union, of which he was elected general secretary recently. His mortal remains will be brought to Shillong Press Club at 1pm tomorrow for people to pay their last respects.
