Shop talk: The Shoppers Stop Sananda Pujor Bazar was inaugurated by Parno Mittra and Mir on Thursday afternoon at Shoppers Stop, Forum. “I can shop for mom, dad, my brother and sister here, under one roof. I also won the lucky draw once!” said Parno about the Sananda Pujor Bazar. For Mir, it was like coming full circle. “I used to anchor this event about five or seven years back and am inaugurating it today,” he said. Along with festive offers at Shoppers Stop, there is a lucky draw, open to anybody who shops for Rs 3,500 and more in a day. Prizes include a trip to Malaysia, Bangkok or Kerala along with other goodies like LCD televisions and Guess watches. The Shoppers Stop Sananda Pujor Bazar is on till October 21 and is being hosted at all Shoppers Stop outlets in the city as well as in Durgapur and Siliguri.

TAGORE IN TRANSLATION: Anjali Gitan Ri, the poetic translation of Tagore’s Gitanjali in Rajasthani by Ikraam Rajasthani, was presented to Margaret Alva (right), the governor of Rajasthan, on October 3 in Jaipur. Sundeep Bhutoria (left), managing trustee of Prabha Khaitan Foundation, and Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur were present at the ceremony, which was organised by Prabha Khaitan Foundation. The book was earlier launched in Calcutta by chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
