AGP attacks Rakibul

Guwahati, Oct. 3: The AGP today asked Dispur to take pragmatic measures to save rhinos instead of resorting to mudslinging over the issue.

The party alleged that state forest minister Rakibul Hussain was trying to cover up encroachment at Kaziranga National Park by politicising the issues and blaming the AGP for not doing enough to protect wildlife during their term. “Is Hussain aware of the encroachment taking place in the portion of Kaziranga in Nagaon district? What measures has he taken to tackle the encroachment in Laokhowa reserve forest, which is under his constituency?” asked veteran leader Gunin Hazarika.
