Pledge for N-E sports
Guwahati, Oct. 3: The northeastern state Olympic associations today joined hands to work towards development of sports in the region.
In a meeting, representatives from Olympic associations of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura held at Assam Olympic Association office here today unanimously decided to place their woes before the Indian Olympic Association for development of sports in the region, an official in the AOA said.
The Manipur Olympic Association was not represented in the meeting presided over by AOA general secretary Rakibul Hussain.
