I-League ticket sales from today

Shillong, Oct. 3: Ticket sales for the first home match of Shillong Lajong FC in the I- League 2012-13 season will commence tomorrow. Lajong will face Mohun Bagan in its first home match which will kick off on Saturday at 2.45pm at the Jawaharlal Nehru sports complex, Polo ground here.

Tickets will be available from tomorrow at Shillong Sports Association (SSA) counters, Polo ground, Aircel Coco near Tata Indicom, Police Bazar, Sport Spirit, MUDA Complex, Meba Stationery, Jingkieng, DJ Stall, Mawngap, Kit Enterprise, Rynjah, Sport Centre, Polo, Orion, Mawlai Nonglum and Sunny Auto Parts, Ummulong.

The local organising committee, comprising officials of the Meghalaya Football Association and Lajong, today announced that the rate of tickets will vary from Rs 100 to Rs 300.

For the VIP gallery, the tickets will cost Rs 300, for covered gallery (with chairs) the price is Rs 250, for covered gallery it is Rs 200 and the open gallery ticket costs Rs 100.

Moreoever, the idea of selling tickets online is being explored by Aircel .

The committee has also undertaken the task to clean the stadium, which is usually littered.

Fide rating: Manoj Baishya of GTC Chess Foundation here has been awarded a Fide rating of 1,586 in the latest rating list published on October 1 by the International Chess Federation (Fide).

Baishya, a trainee under Biswajit Bharadwaj and Nandan Buragohain, was awarded this rating based on his performance in the 4th BCA International Rating Chess Tournment held in Calcutta in August this year.
