Lucknow, Oct. 3: Union coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal today apologised again for his remark that “wives lose charm over time” but couldn’t stop an activist from moving court over the “insensitive” comment.
Anita Dua, who heads Lakshya, an NGO, filed a petition in the chief judicial magistrate’s court in Kanpur, Jaiswal’s Lok Sabha constituency where he made the comment at a kavi sammelan on Sunday. Dua submitted a recording of the minister’s speech. The magistrate said he would record Dua’s statement on October 8.
