Lajong squad named

Guwahati, Oct. 2: Shillong Lajong FC today named its squad for the I-League campaign starting Saturday with a home match against national giant Mohun Bagan at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.

In spite of the best efforts of the club to field players from all states of the Northeast in its squad, Tripura and Arunachal Pardesh drew a blank this time too. Lajong FC is the only club from the region in the I-League.

“We are trying to find talented players from Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh because our club is a team from the region and not just from Meghalaya.
