Calcutta, Oct. 2: A fire broke out in the gynaecology department of the Calcutta Medical College Hospital late tonight.
At least 20 patients were evacuated.
Hospital sources said the fire, which emanated from a tangle of wires, could have been caused by a short circuit. Three fire engines doused the flames.
