Imphal, Sept. 30: Kh. Satish Singh helped North Eastern Reorganisation and Cultural Association move ahead through a 1-0 win against Kuki Sporting Club in the 7th Manipur State League at Khuman Lampak main stadium today.
North Eastern have 13 points from six matches while Kuki Sporting Club have seven points from as many matches.
North Eastern came up with the clincher just before the first-half whistle with L. Ibungobi Singh sending a well-directed cross to the Kuki Sporting goalmouth where keeper Hmangta Damkhupreng completely misjudged the flight and Kh. Satish Singh headed in an easy goal in the 45th minute for the victory.
In another match, Tiddim Road Athletic Union blanked United Sporting Association by 2-0 goals.
Tiddim Road got the early break from a penalty after Boyesh Rangla handled the ball and L. Bikram Singh converted the penalty in the 27th minute. L. Bikram consolidates in the 41st minute for the win.
Tiddim Road Athletic Union have 11 points from six matches while United Sporting Association are with 10 points from seven matches.
