Kokrajhar, Sept. 26: The BPPF today staged a three-hour sit-in on Pragati Bhavan premises in Kokrajhar against price rise, FDI in retail sector, hike in prices of diesel and the withdrawal of subsidy in LPG cylinders.
Around 500 BPPF party workers and supporters staged the dharna from 1pm to 4pm.
BPPF president Rabiram Narzary, slamming the UPA government for the price rise, said the hike in prices of commodities had created resentment among the people of the state and nation.
