Linkman held

Dhubri, Sept. 26: A 33-year-old Ulfa linkman, Prakash Mondal of Chagolia II village under Golakganj police station of Dhubri district, was apprehended by the army today.

The team recovered a countrymade weapon, some explosives, two improvised crude bombs and one mobile phone with two SIM cards.

An army source said Mondal was a linkman who had been in jail for harbouring Ulfa militants in 2001, but after jumping bail he had been again providing shelter to rebels.
