Hazaribagh, Sept. 26: In a bizarre sequence of events, a 30-year-old housewife jumped into a well with her three children, drowning them in the process, then jumped in front of a running train when she was pulled out alive from the water.
The incident took place this morning at Badano village in Chalkusa block, 78km from the district headquarters.
Sarita Devi was apparently fed up with her husband’s extra-marital affairs. Barkatha police have begun a probe as to how all four dead were cremated without prior information.
