New Delhi: The Union sports ministry on Monday gave its approval to the AIFF to bid for the 2017 U-17 World Cup. The letter of approval was sent to AIFF president Praful Patel by sports minister Ajay Maken.
“It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that the government supports the possibility that the Fifa U-17 World Cup may be staged in India,” the letter from sports minister said.
