For all the times you drool over the thought of a creamy pasta or a steaming hot steak and just can’t push yourself to drive all the way to a restaurant, there’s Hungry Tide.

The 37C Hindustan Park eatery (second right from Gol Park, down Purna Das Road), fast gaining popularity for take-away as much as drive-in, has introduced a new menu. And if the old one had your tastebuds stumped, this time you’re going to be bowled over!

Start with Prawn Cocktail or try the Ham and Potato Salad. From the pasta corner, there’s Spaghetti Indiana NV (with bacon, broccoli, babycorn, mushroom in mustard cream sauce) and Spaghetti Indiana, the veggie version of the same.

“Our USP is Continental for take-away or delivery, at really affordable prices. You no longer have to trudge all the way to Park Street for a steak or spaghetti,” says Bikram Sarkar, one of the partners.

The focus of the new menu is on the Continental spread. Chicken Cordon Bleu is a must-have. The Supreme, stuffed with ham and cheese in good quantity, served with dinner roll and salad, is a filling all-in-one meal. Another yummy delight is the Grilled Fish, which comes with bacon and mushroom sauce. There’s also Crevettes a la Creme (prawns in spicy cream sauce), Chicken Tetrazzini or Caribbean Chicken Hot Pot (succulent chicken in a peanut flavoured sauce with noodles).

And the best-sellers? The Spaghetti Bolognese and Spirelli Bacon and Sausage.

“The next step will be to introduce desserts,” adds Bikram. As of now, Hungry Tide serves lemon and chocolate-based puddings and Trifle Pudding, but only on weekends.
