An open meet: Dwayne

Colombo: “We aren’t the favourites, nor is any other team... It’s an open tournament,” the West Indies’ vice-captain, Dwayne Bravo, told The Telegraph on Wednesday morning.

Clearly, nobody in the West Indies squad is getting complacent, despite most regarding them as the favourites for the 2012 World Twenty20, which is two days old.

Much will, of course, depend on Bravo’s form.

Bravo himself didn’t quite agree, though. Grinning, he said: “It’s not about one man... It never has been. As for me, I can only try and do my best.”

The West Indies’ first match is against Australia on Saturday.
