Treat for sky gazers

Siliguri, Sept. 19: The Sky Watchers’ Association of North Bengal (SWAN) will award “tiny masses from the outer space” to those who take part in a walk-in quiz that will be held as part of Siliguri’s first integrated astronomy exhibition.

Navoneel 2012 that would include sky watching sessions, exhibitions, quiz contests and seminars would be held from September 21 to 23.

“There will be indoor and outdoor sessions at the Siliguri Boys’ High School grounds and Ramkinkar Hall at Dinabandhu Mancha,” Debasis Sarkar, the SWAN secretary, said today.

“Students need to fill up and submit a questionnaire to us within a specified time. Those securing high scores will get prizes like micro meteorites, tiny masses from outer space,” Sarkar said.
