Why we love it: They are fruit slabs that use real fruit pulp, so the flavour is quite authentic. You can have it any way you want — small bits with ice cream or right out of the pack. Available in apple, mango, orange, strawberry and guava flavours.

Peeve point: The ‘added sugar’ variants might not be popular with the health-conscious lot. We recommend the ‘100% natural fruit’ versions for them.

Youth speak: “After trying a strawberry fruit slab from Naturo recently at a friend’s place, I found myself salivating for more. It’s basically the Bengali aamshotto with a twist. And it’s available in various flavours — apple, strawberry, guava.... It’s not only unique but also greatly enjoyable for anyone with a sweet tooth,” smiled Somdatta Roychowdhuri, a second-year student of Jadavpur University.
