Varanasi is the new go-to spiritual destination for our Bollywood beauties. Sonam Kapoor — who has parked herself in the holy city for the shoot of Raanjhana opposite Kolaveri di man Dhanush — apparently wakes up early every morning and makes it a point to attend the aarti at various temples around town. “Sonam is extremely spiritual and has decided to make use of the time between shoots to experience Varanasi,” revealed a source on the sets of the Aanand L. Rai-directed film.

Meanwhile, Vidya Balan took some time off from the rigorous schedule of her latest film Ghanchakkar to pay a visit to Varanasi. The box-office darling reportedly went incognito and shopped for Benarasi saris as well as savoured the city’s famous paan. “Vidya had a blast and hopes to go back soon, for a longer visit,” said a source.
