Mumbai: In a relief to Deccan Chargers IPL franchise, the Bombay High Court on Monday directed the BCCI to maintain the status quo regarding termination of the franchise owned by Deccan Chronicles Holdings Ltd, and not take further action against it.
Deccan Chronicles Holdings had moved the High Court on Saturday challenging BCCI’s decision at an emergency of IPL Governing Council meeting to terminate the contract of the Deccan Chargers. In its petition, the company, described the BCCI’s decision as “illegal” and a bad legal precedent.
