Calcutta: Kalighat Milan Sangha qualified for the main draw of the Federation Cup defeating Vasco SC 4-1, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, in Jamshedpur, on Friday.
The Calcutta club were 4-0 up before the lemon break which sealed fate of the Goan club.
James Gbilee opened the scoresheet for the Calcutta club in the third minute. Christopher Chizoba added a brace in the 28th and 41st minute before Tanmoy Kundu made it 4-0.
Kalighat MS will be placed in Group C with East Bengal, ONGC and and Sporting Clube de Goa.
Meanwhile, Lajong FC said their morale was upbeat after taking home the NE - Lajong Super Series Cup and beating Australian club, the Wellington Phoenix, ahead of the Federation Cup and the I-League.
