Former students of the two La Martiniere schools in Calcutta are gearing up to celebrate the 177th Founder’s Day on Thursday with fun and revelry.
The 177th Founder’s Day Reunion Dinner and Dance, presented by the Association of La Martiniere Alumni (ALMA) in association with The Telegraph at The Park Banquets, is part of a long tradition. The annual meet began as an occasion for batchmates to catch up with each other but became more formal after ALMA became a registered body in 2007.
“It is a platform for alumni to catch up and celebrate the La Martiniere spirit. There will be music, dancing and good food,” said Jayajit Biswas, the vice-president of ALMA and the head of events.
The schools’ board members, principals and teachers will also attend the event.
